Fictional Sci-fi company logo design

The progression of ideas begun with leaflike shapes to express the eco friendliness as well as the nested circles to play on a geological theme with earths layers being exposed, the roundness I felt gives these a much more approachable air. The wispy air trails signify something has entered the atmosphere, combining this with the ecological and earth symbolism I feel the first logo encompases everything this company stands for.

The second logo started with hexagons, a shape associated with structural strength (Also present in DNA), which I used to cut into circles to make patterns. With some alteration, I arrived at subtly spiked, world encompassing obelisk type symbol. The thick central column shows a robustness and the sci-fi wings and upward pointing arrows represent advancement development. The cherry on the cake: some illuminati reference for a touch of mystical malevolence ;)
